Veneers

What are Veneers?

A veneer is a custom-made thin shell of tooth colored materials placed on the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance while also providing strength and resilience comparable to natural tooth enamel.

Veneers are mainly used for cosmetic purposes, to improve size, shape and colour of the teeth. It can be used to treat:

✔️ Repair broken and chipped tooth

✔️ Change the shape of the tooth

✔️ Change the colour of the teeth

✔️ Improve teeth alignment and closing gaps in the front teeth

Types of Veneers

  • Porcelain veneer: Requires two or more visits as porcelain veneers are prepared in the lab. They are more durable, stronger, stain resistant, and natural looking as compared to composite veneers.

  • Direct Composite Resin Veneer: It can be done in a single visit as it requires less preparation. More affordable option, however it has a shorter lifespan compared to porcelain veneer as they tend to wear down more easily.

  • U-veneer: A composite veneer template system, which are clear tooth-shaped templates that allows dentists to design natural-looking composite veneers in a single visit.
